Mr. George L. Yarick
George L. Yarick was born April 25, 1928 in Canton, Ohio to Daniel and Kathryn Yarick. Preceded in death was a sister, Helen Mercer. He spent his life an actor and singer, in musical comedy and Opera in Germany. There he entered civil service and in 1967 he became Chief of Ft. Bragg Music and Theater Program till his retirement in 1987. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife Margarete of 33 years, daughter Janine Palombo and husband Frank of New Bern, NC and Melanie Yopp and husband Eric of Tallahassee, FL.; two grandsons, Kevin and Zachary.

A graveside prayer service will be held at Cross Creek Cemetery on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Father Tom Taylor of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church of Erwin and Pastor Jason Williams of Hood Memorial Christian Church are officiating.
Services are entrusted to Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory, Inc. of Fayetteville, NC
