Mr. Derwood Hillman "Trey" Godwin, III
Derwood Hillman Godwin, III, “Treyâ€, 47, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016.
He was born on December 4, 1968 in Fayetteville, NC to D. Hillman Godwin Jr., and the late Sarah Osborne Godwin.
He was the owner and operator of Experience Sight and Sound. Trey had a great passion for riding motorcycles, especially in the mountains. Music and sunsets at Lake Waccamaw were also very special to him.
Trey is survived by his daughter Erin Shae Godwin; his father D. Hillman Godwin, Jr.; his brother Aaron Taylor Godwin and wife Keri; his grandfather Derwood H. Godwin, Sr.; his special friend Kelly Grey Smith, all of Fayetteville, NC and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Gathering Hall at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow in the sanctuary at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Landau Kleffner Syndrome Foundation 1779 Massachusetts Avenue Suite 500 Washington, DC 20036, or to a charity of one's choice.
