Mr. Clayton Charles Kaminska, 93 of 2405 Rollinghill Rd., formerly of 1208 West Water St., Elmira, NY, died Monday April 14, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Kaminska was born in Buffalo, NY on July 29, 1920, the son of Charlotte (Klein) and Charles "Frank" Kaminska, both now deceased. He joined the US Navy during World War II and served our country honorably. He was married to the love of his life Agnes Whittington Kaminska for 66 years until her death on August 14, 2011.
Survivors include a son Clayton Donald Kaminska and wife Nancy of Fayetteville, a daughter Anne K. Haas of Fayetteville, and two grandchildren, Clayton Donald Kaminska, Jr. and Mary Ann Kaminska both of Fayetteville. A brother, The Rev. Dr. Clyde W. Kaminska and his wife Virderie of Port Charlotte, FL, and Clyde's children, Clayton's niece Kathy and her husband Ken Roberts of San Diego, California, and nephew David Kaminska of Kansas City, Missouri.
Final burial arrangements are incomplete, but there will be a memorial service at The Rehabilitation & Health Care Center at Village Green, 1601 Purdue Dr. Fayetteville, NC on Friday, April 15, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, or to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3041 Clifford Street, Port Charlotte, Florida, 33980.
