He is survived by his wife, Betty Powell Shackelford; a daughter, Maria G. Gause; a son, Mark A. Shackelford; five grandchildren, Sean Shackelford, Hunter Shackelford, Benjamin Gause, William Gause, and Emily Gause.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
