Charles Leroy Boggs, 70, of Linden, passed away in his residence on Thursday, April 30, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 1, 1944, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Ruth Boggs, in Morgantown, WV.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Bowling.
He proudly served in The United States Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted member of Northwood Temple Church.
He is survived by his wife Elinor of Linden; daughters, Terri VanAlstyne and husband Scott of LaFargeville, NY, Laurie Sweeney of Linden, Deborah Hair of Linden; son Daniel Sweeney and wife Jennifer of Linden; sisters, Mary Disanto of Marion, NY, Carolyn Boggs of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Bob Boggs of Lake Ariel, PA, George Boggs of Fayetteville, Bill Boggs of Victor, NY, and 7 grandchildren.
A memorial service conducted by Dr. Rev. John Hedgepeth will be held in the chapel of Sullivan's Highland Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 5, 2015. Inurnment will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
