Michelle Matthews Sessoms

Michelle Matthews Sessoms, 50 years old, of Oak Island, NC passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, surrounded by family. 

Michelle was born on May 23, 1973 in Greensboro, NC. Michelle was married to her dear husband, Scott Sessoms, on March 18, 1993. Michelle and Scott celebrated 30 happy years of marriage with one another. Michelle and Scott loved to travel together, dance with one another, and spend their days in the sun at the beach.

Michelle is survived by her beloved husband, Scott Sessoms; her daughter, Whitney Linton (Travis), her daughter, Layne Guyton (Trevor), and her daughter, Megan Sessoms; her granddaughter, Lucy Linton; her mother, Carolyn Matthews; her aunt, Donna Ross (David); her uncle, Rick Matthews (Theresa); her, sisters Aimee Matthews, Shay Lucas, and Brenda Lucas; and her loving family-in-law. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Matthews and uncle Jerry Summers.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the 801 Ocean Event Center located at 801 Ocean Drive, Oak Island, North Carolina 28465.
