Marjorie Bunce Edwards, 82, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Edwards was a graduate of 71st High School in 1947. She retired from civil services at Ft. Bragg where she worked for 22 years. She graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College with a LPN degree. She worked at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for 10 years as a LPN. She enjoyed traveling and visiting grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband Joseph R. Edwards, Jr. of Fayetteville; 3 sons Norman M. McNeill of Fayetteville, Robert A. Edwards and wife Maribell of Yokota Air Base Japan, David W. Edwards, Sr. and wife Lisa of Fairfield, CA.; 5 daughters Catherine Ann McNeill of Parkton, NC, Christine McNeill-Matteson and husband Retired Col. W.E. of Leavenworth, KS, Marjorie McNeill Sparks and husband Richard of Bowling Green, MO, Lori J. Tanguay of Laurel, MD, Joni E. Reilly and husband Richard of Alexandria, VA; 16 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grand Children and 2 Great Great Grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Monday October 31, 2011, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. A service will be at 2pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
A burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 1601 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28305, or ones favorite charity.
