Marcia B. Ezzelle

Marcia B. Ezzelle (88) and John D. Ezzelle, Sr. (92), passed away on July 6 and July 7, 2023, respectively. 

Marcia was a Registered Nurse until she decided to stay home and raise their five children.  She enjoyed being outdoors, especially sitting in her swing.

John was a Shriner for over 60 years.  He retired from Carolina Telephone/Sprint after 40 plus years.  If he was not on the golf course, he could be found in his woodworking shop.

They were members of Cedar Falls Baptist for 40 years where they served in many capacities.  They were founding members of REACT (Retired Employees at Carolina Telephone).

Left to cherish Marcia and John’s memory are their children, John Ezzelle, Jr. (Lynn), Glenn Ezzelle (Leslie), Sheila Ezzelle (Mike Priest), Alan Ezzelle (Lisa), and Mike Ezzelle (Sandra); nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; Marcia’s sister, Celia Allsbrook; John’s siblings, Marcile Daniels, Mickey Ezzelle; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1pm, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Cedar Falls Baptist Church.  Their funeral will follow at 1:30pm in the sanctuary.  The service will conclude with their burial at Lafayette Memorial Park.
