Marc Near

Marc Near, 69, of Fayetteville, formerly of upstate New York, passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2024, at his residence.

Marc served in the US Army for over twenty years before retiring.  

A visitation will be held at a later date where military honors will be rendered.

Marc is survived by his stepdaughters, Joanna Corretjer and Christina Corretjer; and stepson, Jorge Corretjer; three step-grandchildren, Anthony Zito, Samantha Zito, Rain Grace Corretjer; in-laws, Kelly Serafin, Wayne Sorensen Jr., Jacqueline Rice, Joyce Sorensen, Ann Sorensen, Deborah Sorensen, and Charles Rice; nieces and nephews, Tiffani Serafin, Christopher Serafin, Wayne Robert Sorensen, Brittany Sorensen, Thomas Terlizzi Jr., April Armstrong, Dustin Terlizzi, and Nicholas Terlizzi.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Near; and his parents, Laurence and Margaret Near.
