Mrs. Maggie Mae Melvin Bennett, 70, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Bennett was born on February 8, 1943 in Cumberland County, NC. She was the daughter of the late, Mr. George Melvin and Mrs. Lillie Flower Melvin.
She is survived by her husband, James "Joe" William Bennett; a son, Carl Bennett of Fayetteville, NC; three grandchildren, Jennifer Bennett, Amber Bennett, and Anna Bennett; six great-grandchildren, Candis, Kirsten, Kevin, Nevaeh, Alaina, and Rilyn.
A memorial service will be conducted at Friendship Baptist Church on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Hayes, officiating. The family will receive friends, following the service.
Services entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service and Crematory, of Fayetteville, NC.
