FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Lula Robertson Proctor 83, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Mrs. Proctor was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Franklin County. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Robertson and was one of six children. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Proctor; and her son, Freddy Proctor. Mrs. Proctor is survived by her daughter, Nancy P. Chappell and husband Tim of Charlotte; a grandson, Zach Chappell of Charlotte; a granddaughter, Kate Chappell of Asheville; two brothers, Willie B. Robertson of Louisburg and D. Page Robertson of Eugene, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Proctor worked for 38 years with Drs. Garber, Morrison and Daniels.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for more than 40 years and a former choir member. She was a member of the Pilot Club. A visitation will be held today, Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory in Fayetteville, conducted by the Rev. Billy Olsen.
Interment will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens at 4509 Raeford Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and to Liberty Hospice of Fayetteville.
