Ms. Lucille Morrison Davis, 88, of Fayetteville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, in her home. She was born May 7, 1924, in Vass, and moved to Fayetteville in 1938. Lucille graduated from Massey Hill High School as valedictorian in 1942. She worked as a secretary for Fleishman's Big Store for 28 years. She was a member of Hillside Holiness Church for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Morrison; brother, William "Danny" Morrison; and a great-grandson, David N. Lee III. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Lee and husband David; and seven grandchildren; David N. Lee Jr., Julia Tart and husband Buddy, John Lee and wife Rhonda, Michael Lee, Michelle Nunnery and husband Doug, Dawn Tasker and husband Chris, and Janel White and husband Dean. She has 16 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was a woman of great faith, loved and adored by her family and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Wilson and the Rev. John Blackman officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family would like to express their gratitude to Cape Fear Valley Hospice.
