Laura Lorene Harper, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

She was born in Sampson County, to the late Oliver and Irena Williamson.  Also preceding her in death was her husband SGM Charles L. Harper.

She was a dedicated citizen, wife, mother, and grandmother.  After 30 plus years of service she retired from Civil Service, serving the Special Operations community.

Laura leaves behind her sons, Charles L. “Roy” Harper, Jr. (Herminia Gomez) and John Edward Harper (Donna); grandchildren, Jennifer Harper, Charles K. Harper, and Skyler Harper, Charles L. Harper, III; sisters, Jonnie Williamson (Ray Burton), Norma Williamson; and a plethora of close friends.

A graveside memorial service is planned for 11am, Friday, March 26, 2021, at Main Post Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to Friends of the Cancer Center, care of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, P.O. Box 2000, Fayetteville, NC 28302.
