John Carl Horne, 65, of Fayetteville, died Friday, May 5, 2012, in Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center.
John was born Oct. 16, 1946, to Purdie and Myrtle Horne. John served in the Army, and retired from Machine and Welding Supply Co. John was a good carpenter, who built his own home.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; brother, Jerry; and sister, Mary Emma Ruple.
John is survived by a son, Johnny Horne of Fayetteville; two daughters, Lynette Jordon of Fayetteville, and Leslie Rowland of Washington, W.Va.; two sisters, Roberta Johnson and husband Bobby of Lillington, and Willa Horne McIntosh of Eastover; a granddaughter, Caroline; and two grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas Rowland, of West Virginia.
No formal services are planned, but burial will be held in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
Services entrusted to Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory of Fayetteville.
