Mrs. Janie Marie West, 84, Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, in Fayetteville, NC.
She was born on May 23, 1928, in Cumberland County, NC to the late Jewell Cox and Janie Stubbs Cox.
She retired with Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
She is survived by one son Gordon West, of Fayetteville, NC and one daughter Lana Marie West, of Brandon, FL; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; two sister-in-laws Dee Cox, and Sarah Cox, both Fayetteville, NC.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service from 9:45 a.m. 10:45 a.m.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, with Rev. W.T. Tatum and James Everitte officiating.
Burial will follow in White Oak Family Worship Center Cemetery.
