James L. Reese, Jr.

SGM (Ret.) James L. Reese, Jr., was a beloved husband and father. Mr. Reese passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the age of 76. He was born in Duval Co., FL on February 7, 1948 to the late Mr. James Reese, Sr. and Mrs. Willie B. Reese.

Mr. Reese served in US Army for over 30 years. He was awarded numerous medals and commendations. He was kind, compassionate, respected, and loved by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Margita Reese; daughter, LaTiki Reese; step-son, Michael Clay; one grandchild and one great-grandchild; sister, Patricia Smith; brother, Roland E. Reese.

The family is grateful for all the love and support of friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from noon to 1:00 pm at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory. In keeping with his wishes a short and brief celebration of life service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel.
