James Johnson Jr.

James Johnson Jr.,90, of Spring Lake passed away on July 28, 2024.

He was born on August 14, 1933, in Clairton, PA to the late James and Reba Johnson. Also preceding him in death are his two sons.

James proudly served his country through joining the Army. While he was in the service James enjoyed spending his time boxing. He spent twenty-three years in the military before he retired. After the military James worked a civil service job before he retired from that.

Left to cherish Jame’s memory is his wife, Ella McKenney; step-children, Bridget Wells, Clyde McKenney, Ivan McKenney, Patrick McKenney, and Adam McKenney.

A graveside service is scheduled for 12pm Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
