Fayetteville – James Castro Jr, 63, lost his battle with Cancer and joined the angels in heaven on Wednesday September 21, 2011.
James was born in San Bernandino, California. He honorably served his country for 20 years as a Special Forces Green Beret. He was a member of the 7th Special Forces Group. He retired a Master Sergeant. He remained in Fayetteville since retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 45 years, Victoria Castro, his son Frankie James Castro and wife Rhea of Florida, his daughter Soni Rider and husband Wayne of Fayetteville, grandchildren, Brittany Castro, Aimee Rider, Tesla Rider, and James Castro, Sisters, Virgie Rodriguez, Debbie Portillo, Sara Castrejon, and Annie Moncada, Brothers Ralph Moncado, Eddie Moncada and Simon Moncada all of California.
A service in celebration of his life will be at the JFK Memorial Chapel on Ft Bragg, Monday September 26th at 2:00 pm.
