Jackie Ray Ware

Mr. Jackie Ray Ware, 64, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Jackie served in the US Army and after his discharge he then worked as a contractor in both Raleigh and Fayetteville for over twenty years.  He loved riding motorcyles and playing darts. He was a free spirit and will be dearly missed.

Jackie is survived by his wife and partner for 20 years, Robin Johnson of the home; daughter, Ashley Ware Owens and husband Mick Owens of Stedman; son, Robbie Wayne Johnson  and wife Brandee Johnson of Eastover; sisters, Debby Sandberg of Fayetteville, and Barbara Ware Richardson and husband Jerry Richardson of Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Hali Owens, Nicolle Owens, and Bryce Johnson.

He was preceded in death by brother, John Henry Ware; and brother-in-law, Bob Sandberg.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2 pm at Jackie’s residence.
