Herman Bradley Hemingway Jr., 80, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory in Fayetteville with Dr. Ed Wilson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Road. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hemingway retired from the N.C. National Guard as an E-8.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Irene Pate; brother, Robert Lee Hemingway; and parents, Herman B. and Leola Faircloth Hemingway.
He is survived by his brothers, James R. Hemingway of Fayetteville; several nieces; a nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials may be made to The Arthritis Foundation ; or Mount Gilead Baptist Church.
