Gladys Jones Stone, 68, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Mrs. Stone was born on February 14, 1944 in Cumberland County, NC.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Stone; parents, Archie “Poker†and Letha Jones, and a granddaughter, Melanie Brooke Stone.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Stone and husband, Rick of Fayetteville, NC; a son, Michael Stone and wife, Carla of Linden, NC; a sister, Diane Hardee and husband, Al of Fayetteville, NC; four grandchildren, Zachery Cellner, Nicholas Cellner, Dylan Hair and Blake Greenwade all of Fayetteville, NC; great-grandson, Caden Cellner.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory, Inc., from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral services will be conducted at Church of God of Prophecy in Stedman, NC at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Baldwin and the Rev. Richard Robinson, officating. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, 5371 NC Highway 210 S, Stedman, NC 28391.
