Mr. George Robert Shaffer, 60, of Hope Mills, NC passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Shaffer was born on September 3, 1952 in Cumberland County, NC. He was the son of the late Mr. George L. Shaffer and Mrs. Joanne Schwartz Shaffer.
Mr. Shaffer was the former BSTRS and Paging System Administrator of the 1112th Signal Battalion. He was a graduate of Sandhills Community College.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Graves Shaffer ; a son, Troy Baker and wife, Christy Beasley-Baker; a granddaughter, Tory Ava Baker all of Fayetteville, NC
