F. Colon Dees, 66, of Fuquay-Varina, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
He was born in Hope Mills on August 7, 1949 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Naomi Dees.
Preceding him in death are his sister, Myrtle Hodges; brothers, John Dees and Walter “Cooney†Dees.
Colon is survived by his wife, Dianna; daughters, Cari Davis, Sandra Dees, Samantha Dees, and Tracey Johnson; son, Kelly Butler; brothers, Wilbur Dees, Jerry Dees; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Bogey.
A memorial service is planned for 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Highland Baptist Church in Hope Mills.
