Mrs. Esther Norris Dew 96, of Eastover , NC, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on July 19, 1916, in Columbus County, NC, to the late Wright M. Norris and Nancy Irene Ward Norris. She was a registered nurse who retired from Cumberland County Health Department with 12 years of service. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roby "Red" L. Dew. She is survived by seven nephews and three nieces.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday July 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, in Eastover, NC, with Dr. Bill Snotherly and Rev. Melinda Ivey officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Bailey City Cemetery, in Bailey, NC.
The family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Salem United Methodist Church 2171 Middle Road, Eastover, NC 28312.
