Elizabeth Bunce Cox

Elizabeth Bunce Cox, 90, of Fayetteville, NC went to heaven on September 17, 2021, with her children by her side.

She was born to the late James Harvey Bunce and Bessie Raynor Bunce on December 8, 1930. She graduated from Stedman High School in 1948 and later married Andrew Marion McMillan Jr. and had two sons and two daughters. She is survived by her children, Jeffery Neil (Melba) McMillan of Fayetteville, Quo Vadis McMillan of Bear Creek, Andrea McMillan (Barry) Pearson of Stedman, NC and Hannah McMillan of Phoenix Arizona. She is survived by six grandchildren, Alix (Sam) Crittenden, Jessie (Chris) Myers, Andrew McMillan, Iain McMillan, Connor McMillan, and Nathaniel McMillan.

In life, she was referred to as Libby or Lib by her family and many friends. Libby was an avid reader and loved to laugh with those around her. For many years, she managed a deli and delivered service with a beautiful smile. She was an outstanding cook and most famous for her sweet potato and pecan pies. Libby was a loving and caring soul who brightened the days of many family members and friends. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her. To many she was a bright beacon of light that will now shine in heaven.

Lib’s family will welcome friends from noon to 1:30pm at Carroll Memorial Baptist Church, 2220 Camden Road, Fayetteville, NC, on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Her funeral service will follow at 1:30pm. The service will conclude with her burial at Lafayette Memorial Park.
