Edward “Eddie†Willkings O’Hanlon, 70, a lifelong resident of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Isaac “Ike†Hawley O’Hanlon and Emma Sikes O’Hanlon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William Hawley O’Hanlon, an infant brother, Michael Terrence O’Hanlon.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Hair O’Hanlon, a son Edward Willkings O’Hanlon II, a daughter K. Britton O’Hanlon Jordan, and granddaughter Catharine Briley Jordan, his beloved dogs, Susie and Hannah, and his shelter dogs and cats.
Eddie attended Christ School in Arden, NC and Fayetteville City Schools. He graduated from East Carolina University earning a Master’s Degree in Psychology and was a guidance counselor for several years in Virginia and North Carolina. In the early 1970’s Eddie assumed ownership of the family business Antex Exterminating Company With offices in Lumberton, Pinehurst, and Fayetteville.
Eddie had a number of passions in life among them were love for his family, NFL Football, Travel, Animals, and loyalty to his friends.
Eddie was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church where a memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.

The family would like to express an abundance of gratitude to the cargivers for their compassion and dignity for Eddie.
The family has entrusted the services to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service and Crematory, 610 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC.
