Earline Jenkins Miller

Earline Jenkins Miller, 94 of Fayetteville died Monday at her residence in Eastover. She was the daughter of the late Nina Parrish Smith Doub and James Cleverce Smith. Known affectionately as “MeMaw” to many, she was a well loved matriarch of the Jenkins family. She was a true southern cook who enjoyed feeding her husband, Earl and family and raising her five children. She was a provider of love and care to all. Her beagle, Ally, was a wonderful companion to Earline in her later years. Having worked in the family business for over 30 years she retired prior to a stroke in mid September. She spent a lot of time in the NC/VA mountains with her family where she enjoyed thrifting and antiquing.

There are no words that can express the love her children, grandchildren and extended family and friends have for this dear lady. Her family is so Blessed to have had her for so long to nurture and learn from this gentle, kind and sensitive sweetheart of a lady. She was kind to everyone she met and a person that truly exemplified the Biblical teaching of “turning the other cheek.”

A brother, Jimmy Smith of Alabama; two daughters, Linda Gail Hendrickson of Fayetteville, Faith Marie Tyndall and husband Wallace “Wendy” of Eastover; two sons, James Earl Jenkins of Surfside Beach, SC and Carl Jenkins and wife Lori of Hickory; grandchildren, Wendy Kay Love-Gale of Front Royal, VA, Lynnie Jenkins of Oregon, Amber Jacobs of Sanford, Bobby White of Chapel Hill, Cliff King, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Gastonia, Memorie Cole and husband Chris of Niceville, FL, Renee Elvis of Conway, SC, Joey Rooks and wife Crystal of Monks Corner, SC, Benjamin Jenkins and wife Meghan of Hickory, LeAnne Jenkins and Travis Holdren of Greensboro and Laurel Jenkins of Hickory, great grandchildren, Courtney Elvis, Christian Elvis, Kaley Robertson, Megan Jacobs, Landon Clewis, Jacob King, Makayla Hamrick, Easton Hamrick, Tucker Jenkins, Andersen Jenkins, Sawyer Holdren, Tatum Holdren and Wellison Holdren survive her.
