Doris Parnell Cooper

Mrs. Doris Parnell Cooper, 92, of Fayetteville, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Doris was born in Robeson County to the late Clarence and Sallie Parnell. She was an ordained minister, a counselor, and studied the Bible through Fayetteville Community for seven years. She was also former owner and operator of Do Mart Insurance Company in Hope Mills.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 3 pm at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends following the service.

Doris is survived by her husband of 41 years, Thomas G. Cooper of the home; granddaughter, Brianna; and three stepchildren, Sharon Hall, Thomas G. Cooper II., and Bruce Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra; and her two brothers, Mitchell and Pope; and three sisters, Annie Re, Ina, and Clara.
