Deborah "Deb" or ''Ma" Elaine Helton, 60, passed away on February 21, 2025, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Born on December 19, 1964, Deborah lived a life filled with laughter, love, and an undeniable zest for fun. She was a wild woman that lit up any room she was in, known for her infectious joy and carefree spirit. She wasn’t afraid to sing out loud and dance to her own beat, admired and loved for who she was. If you met her once, you would never forget her. She was kind, she was fun, she was unapologetically herself, and if she wasn’t there, the party had not started. She had a knack for making an entrance—always taking her time and ensuring every arrival was nothing short of grand. She made everyone feel welcomed; brought a smile to anyone she met; and definitely was a people person. She had a special talent for bringing out the human in even the most reserved people. Her vivid storytelling could captivate any audience, turning even the simplest moments into grand tales. Mom found joy in the little things: search-and-find puzzles, her daily devotional readings, and enjoying a good smoke to unwind. Her faith played a significant role in her life; she never shied away from expressing her love for Jesus. Prayer was an important part of her daily routine—especially before meals. She had a deep love for animals—so much so that it often seemed they held a special place in her heart right alongside her family. She took great comfort in knowing that when she left this world, she would be welcomed into heaven with open arms by her Lord and reunited with loved ones who had gone before her. - ‘’It’s never good bye, it’s see you later.’’ Deb.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter Angelina Helton (Ducky); sons (Thomas) Stevie Helton, Christopher Helton (Chris) and Norman Helton; sister Jacqueline Helton (Maggie May); brother (Howard) Wesley Helton (Wes); grandchildren Nicholas Stump (Nicky), Michael Stump (Mishka), Anthony Stump, Caleb Stump, Elijah Anderson, Gauge Helton, Alicia Helton and Lotalty Helton; great-grandchildren Laila Stump, Nicholas Stump and Ace Stump along with her one fur-baby Choppers.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Angela Bailey, and father, Howard Helton; sister, Armandina Helton (Dina); uncle, Frank Arculeo; grandmother, Giacoma Arculeo; grandson, Tyler Noah Lee Stump; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Johnathan Stump along with her beloved dogs, Roxie, Maggie & Jolie.
