Darrell Strickland

Darrell Dewayne Strickland, 58, born on March 15, 1966, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Fayetteville, NC. 

He was known for his kind, strong, and loving nature, attributes that resonated deeply with all who knew him. Darrell's career was notably spent in the heating and air industry, where he dedicated many years of service to Bass Heating and Air, Day and Night Heating and Air, and Gore Heating and Air. His work ethic and commitment to providing comfort to others' homes were truly commendable. A passionate fan of NASCAR, Darrell also found joy in watching movies, listening to music for hours and spending quality time with his family, which was central to his life. His presence brought warmth and happiness to gatherings, much like the work he did professionally.

He is survived by his loving children, Ashley Hammitt, Ceira Brooke Roberts, Darrell Dewayne Strickland Jr., and Jacob Strickland; his grandchildren, Savannah Ferguson, Logan Ferguson, Kayden Williams, Kaylee Williams, Kylee Williams, CJ Williams, Aben Strickland, and Atlas Strickland; his wife, Jackie Strickland; and his siblings, Eddie Strickland, Rhonda Strickland, Mary Mann, Dianne Strickland, Freddy Strickland, and Michelle Strickland. 

He was preceded in death by his grandson Abel Strickland, his parents Elsa and James Strickland, his siblings Norma and Ricky Strickland. 

While Darrell's passing is a profound loss, his legacy of love and strength will continue to live on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.A service to celebrate Darrell's life will be held at Sullivan's Highland Chapel, September 14th, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Those who knew and cherished Darrell are welcome to attend and share in remembering his remarkable life.
