Connie L. Horton

Connie L. Horton, 75, of Linden, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

She was born on January 26, 1945, in Portsmouth, VA, to the late Earl Creech and Sarah Manino.  Preceding Connie in death was her son, Gerald Gregory Horton; and grandson, Jay Stiles, great-granddaughter, Dakota Wright; and her sister, Gwen Manino.

Left to cherish Connie’s memory is her husband, Gerald Reese Horton; daughters, Tammy Lorraine Horton of Linden, Rhonda Melissa McCaskill of Fayetteville, and Barbara Faye Brewington of Linden and husband Larry; brother, Tony Manino and wife Mary; grandchildren, Joshua Wright and wife Ginger, Jeremiah Robinson and Amber Hamilton, Desirae Stiles and husband Omar Watson, Ashley Jones and husband Germaine, Dustin Horton, Jessica Brewington, Raven Brewington, Leighanna Smith, Sireta Brewington, Derek Brewington and wife Anna, Terrell McNeill; several great-grandchildren; step-mother, Louise Creech; half-brothers, Jimmy and Lenny Creech; and her beloved dogs, Cookie and Boo-Boo.

The family will welcome friends from 1 to 2pm on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.  Her funeral will follow at 2pm in the chapel.  The service will conclude with burial at the Horton Family Cemetery in Linden.
