Charles Lawrence Purdie

Charles Lawrence Purdie passed away on August 19, 2021. He was son of the late Otis and Mary Louise Purdie. He is survived by his siblings: Edith, James, Ellen, and nieces Jennifer, Christina, Patricia, and Alice.

He was a June 1976 graduate of Terry Sanford High School and lived most of his life in Fayetteville. Charles was a long time resident of Woodlands Nursing in Fayetteville. The family is grateful to the many staff members who cared for him during his years there. Charles’s life was upended by the events of the past year, both with the pandemic and the loss of his mother in October 2020.

Services will be held at Highland Presbyterian Church to remember both Charles and his mother on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11 a.m with a reception after the memorial service.
