Charles Aaron Owens, 51, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 due to complications from Covid. Charlie was born February 12, 1970 in McRae, Georgia. His father’s military service took the family all over the world before they settled in Fayetteville. Charlie graduated from Fayetteville Terry Sanford in 1988 and then went on to attend East Carolina University.
Charlie was independent and curious. He owned several businesses before making a career in real estate appraisal. He was an avid reader and dedicated fan of ECU Pirate football and Atlanta Braves baseball. Charlie was a wanderer and world traveler, but his heart belonged to Switzerland.
Charlie is survived by his children Harrison and Ella and his father John (Martina) Owens. He is also survived by his sisters Wendy (Matt) Reid, Amy (Bryce) Bullman, Emily Owens and Rebecca Owens, and his niece and nephews, Suzanna (Bryce) Young, Emery Valentine and John Reid. Charlie is preceded in death by his mother Rhonda Madden.
Services will be held Saturday, November 13th at 11:00 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service in Fayetteville.
The family requests that masks be worn by everyone attending.
