Chad Clifford Griffin, 53, of Fayetteville, NC, died peacefully in his home with his family on September 27, 2024. Born on September 15, 1971, Chad was known for his great sense of humor and love of the simple things in life: God, family, and friends. He was kind, generous, and always willing to help a friend.
Chad graduated from Douglas Byrd High School and dedicated 25 years of his career to Ensystex as a printer where he was valued for his diligence and hard work. He found spiritual fulfillment and community at Village Baptist Church, where he was not only a member but also an active volunteer.
An avid Carolina Panthers fan, Chad enjoyed nothing more than grilling out with friends, playing his guitar, classic cars, and fishing. Chad's approach to life was laid back, always taking moments as they came, and never taking himself too seriously.
He is survived by his beloved wife Cyndi and daughter Chayse; parents, Stanley and Cecile Griffin; his brother, Trace Griffin (Connie) of Wilmington; niece, Ashton Griffin (significant other Josh Wiggins Rosier) of Lumberton; great nephews Lanning Kistler and Griffin Rosier; aunt Marian Haire (Larry) of Raeford; cousins Richard Haire (Michelle) of Raeford, Emily Gray (Mike) of Waxhaw, Joe Griffin (Jeanne) of Columbia, SC, and Jerry Griffin of Holden Beach. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael and Carol Ashton and George and Maybelle Griffin.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 pm followed by a memorial service at 3 pm in Chad's honor at Village Baptist Church, 906 South McPherson Church Road, Fayetteville, NC, on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Chad's honor to Village Baptist Church, Manna Church, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
