Carole Snellgrove Morris

Carole Snelgrove Morris of Fayetteville, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at home following a lengthy illness.

She was born August 2, 1936, to the late Harvey Clifton Snelgrove and Flora Stone (Snelgrove) Clark. She was also the stepdaughter of the later Malcolm Monroe Clark.

Carole graduated from Seventy-First High School in 1954 and worked for Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Company. She then worked as an accounting clerk at Fort Bragg for many years. She was a member of MacPherson Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Gordon Morris; daughter, Susan Morris Dunn and husband Timothy of Fayetteville; Son, Charles Clifton Morris and wife Jennifer of Jackson, TN; grandchildren Timothy Clark Dunn and wife, Emily of Brevard, Johnathan Patrick Dunn of Camp Pendleton, California, Laura Caroline Dunn of Fayetteville, Hanna Morris Pletcher and husband Dean of Hickory, Christian Morris of Hickory, Joshua Shuford and Jessica Shuford of Jackson, TN, and a great grandson, Michael Clark Dunn of Brevard. Carole is also survived by her brother, Donald Verdery Snelgrove of Wadesboro, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 13th  at 2pm MacPherson Presbyterian Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 14th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the church, 3525 Cliffdale Road in the parlor.
