Carla E. Stone

Carla E. Stone, 73, of Wade, went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 24, 2021.
She was born on September 27, 1948, to the late Billy and Della Mae Matthews. Also preceding her in death were her children, James William Stone, Jr., William Scott Stone, and Sherry Elizabeth Stone.

Carla was the former owner/operator of the Corner Grill in Eastover and a graduate of Central High School. She loved her family and was always willing to help in any way that she could. She was a great country cook who loved to garden and be in the outdoors. Some of her happiest memories were spent at Granny’s house where she could do what she wanted.

Left to cherish Carla’s memory are her daughter, Rhonda Freeman and husband Tony; grandson, Aaron Freeman and wife Cynthia; granddaughter, Ciara Freeman; great grandson, Connor Freeman; sisters, Julia Godwin and husband Charles, and Sharon Moore; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Laws, and Mary Ann Lambert and husband Don; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private family service will be conducted.
