Carl Pultz Flanagan, Jr. (Pat) and Patricia Kane Flanagan (Trish) stepped into Heaven together September 14, 2018.
They met in Maryland while Trish was attending Towson State University and Pat was attending Mercersburg Academy.
They were married in 1952 and moved to Lexington, Virginia where Pat attended Washington and Lee University. While in school Pat played on the W&L Lacrosse Team and was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He graduated in 1956.
Upon graduation Pat turned down an opportunity with DuPont and began a life dedicated to the service of our country, serving in the Army for more than 20 years, 7 of those years in foreign or overseas assignments, completing his military career in the XVIII Airborne Corps in 1976. After his retirement from the military, Pat worked for the Cumberland County Tax Office.
Trish loved her work and friends at BD Designs and Lynn Leath Interior Design in Fayetteville.
Pat and Trish were both dedicated volunteers, serving numerous organizations, including the Fayetteville Little Theater, the Airborne & Special Operations Museum and the Fayetteville schools. Pat was a proud member of the Kiwanis and the Sons of the American Revolution, Trish was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
