Bobby Ray Wiggs

Bobby Ray Wiggs, 96, of Eastover, died on Sunday, September 22, 2024.  He was born in Mt. Olive, North Carolina, to the late Jarvis Wiggs and Ethel Price Whitecavage.  Preceding him in death were his wife, Hazel, his parents, and brother, Billy Wiggs.

Bobby was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Korea.  He owned and operated Gulf service stations in Fayetteville for more than 30 years.  He enjoyed tennis, golf, water skiing, bowling and billiards and spending time with his family and he liked to keep his yard spotless.

He is survived by his daughters, Rita Wiggs and Aleta Pigliacampo (Joseph); sons, Bobby "BJ" Ray Wiggs, Jr. (Teresa), Michael Wiggs (Beth) and Patrick Wiggs; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Haymount Rehabilitation and Nursing and all the special caregiving angels who helped us these past several years.

The family will receive visitors from 12:30 pm to 1:30 on Thursday, September 26, 2024, to be followed by a memorial service at 1:30 pm at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service Chapel.  The burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
