Betty W. Hight

Betty Wiggins Hight, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away on February 16, 2023.

She was born in Henderson, NC, on February 24, 1938, to the late Robert and Ruth Wiggins.  She was preceded in death by her husband H.B. Hight; son, Keith Hight; sister, Jean Reavis; and brother, Robert Wiggins.

Betty was a Civil Servant at Ft. Bragg for 30 years.  She was a member of Haymount United Methodist Church since 1967.  She played piano for the Barrington Sunday School Class.  She was also very active with UMW and a big supporter of their Outreach programs.

The family will welcome friends from 1pm to 2:30pm, on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.  Her funeral will follow at 2:30pm in the chapel.  A private burial will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her children, Kathy Maxwell and Kevin Hight of Fayetteville and Kim Councill (Reuben) of Salt Lake City, UT; five grandchildren, Cody, Kate, Parker, Raechel, and Jaden; 2 great grandchildren, Lily and Violet; daughter-in-law, Lisa Hight of King George, VA.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, The Care Clinic of Fayetteville, and the Cancer Center of Cape Fear Valley.
