Anne Louise Alred

Mrs. Anne Louise Alred, 92, of Fayetteville, went home to be with her family in heaven on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Anne was born June 14, 1930, to the late Carl and Cora Wakefield.  She worked as a registered nurse for many, many years at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, primarily in the nursery.  She was also a longtime member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church.  

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 2 pm at Sullivan's Highland Chapel.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home.

Anne is survived her three children, Terry Alred and wife, Joan, of Stedman, Joyce Blanchard and husband, Charles, of Fayetteville, and Gay Ramos of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Alred; grandson, Bobby Blanchard; and three brothers, Harry Wakefield, Hugh Wakefield, and Jack Wakefield.
