Mrs. Annamarie E. Glenn, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
Annamarie was born in Nürnberg, Germany, on March 7, 1931, to the late Anton and Wilhelmina Rauscher. She was primarily a homemaker and caretaker to her daughter, Roxanne. Upon Roxanne’s passing, she worked at Westover High School in the cafeteria for many years and was a member of the Fayetteville area German Club.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 2 pm at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service Chapel.
Annamarie is survived by her three children, Angelika Glenn Riley and husband John Russell of Ooltewah, TN, retired US Navy MCPO Donald Leonard Glenn, Jr. and wife Sandi Glenn of Hampton, VA, and Richard J. Glenn of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Michael Christopher Riley, Jonathan David Riley, Amanda Roxanne Blaylock, Stephanie Jane Glenn, and Nicholas Richard Glenn; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Anton Rauscher and sister, Louise Grabinger, both of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired US Army SFC Donald Leonard Glenn; daughter, Roxanne Jane Glenn; brother, Bernhard Rauscher; and brother-in-law, Robert Grabinger.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home.
