Ann Welch

Mrs. Ann McFadyen Welch, 79, passed away at home Saturday, July 15.  She was born on June 19, 1938 in Fayetteville, to John F. McFadyen and Frances B. McFadyen.  She was a loving wife and a devoted mother.  She was a member and Elder at MacPherson Presbyterian Church where she was awarded the prestigious lifetime membership to the “Presbyterian Women.” In addition, she was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Red Hat Society (One Red Hat Chapter).

Her daughter, Katherine C. Brand, preceded her in death.  She is survived by her husband, John M. Welch of the home.  In addition by her sister, Mary Scott Plummer; and her children; Jenny Stagner, Richard Caldwell, Elizabeth Mollett, Anita Paul, James Welch, Ruby Parrish, Deborah Warner, Patricia Hall, Mary Williams; and 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. 

The memorial service will be held at MacPherson Presbyterian Church, Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the Church’s Fellowship Hall where the family will receive friends.
