Alice Noppel Mallory

Alice Noppel Mallory, 95, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, in the presence of her loving family.

She was born on October 30, 1926, in Sindelfingen, Germany, to the late Friedrich and Pauline Noppel.  Also preceding her in death was her husband, SGM (Ret.) Chastain E. Mallory, Jr.

Alice was a caregiver to those who were close to her regardless of family connection.  She worked at Westover High School in the cafeteria for many years.  She was also a member of the Fayetteville Area German Club. 

Left to cherish Alice’s memory is her best friend, Terry Bentley and husband Billy, of Raeford; their children, Billy, Daniel and wife Ashley, and Eric; grandson, Gavin; and two nieces, Christel and Elfi Noppel.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11 am at Sullivan’s Highland Chapel with Pastor John Blackman, Jr. presiding.  The inurnment will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
