Alexis Carol Anderson

Alexis Carol Anderson, 74, of Fayetteville, passed peacefully from an extended illness on Saturday, February 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on February 26, 1950, to the late Henry Kelvin and Marjorie Mae Smith. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Marie Anderson; grandsons, Cody Shane Steele and John Austin Anderson; two sisters, one brother; two nephews; and a niece.

Alexis was a world traveler who especially loved spending time at the beach. She gave generously to charities. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she attended as often as possible. She enjoyed the time spent with her friends in Bible Study.

Left to cherish Alexis’s memory are her daughters, Karen (Leon) Steele of Cambridge City, IN, Kristy Anderson of Fayetteville, NC, Melissa Anderson of Russell, KY; grandchildren, Hillary Brooke (Holden) Stephens of Jacksonville, FL, Tyler Dakota (Ana) Steele of Richmond, IN, Mikayla Cheyenne Steele of Cambridge City, IN, Garrett Ethan Hawke (Deziree) Steele of Richmond, IN, Andrew Kai McClelland of Lexington, KY; great grandchildren, Lya, Scott, Kinleigh, Holden, Emiliano, Gibson, Annalise, Sophia, Lillie, and Brantley; grand-dogs, Maxwell and Shinji, and an extended family.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at MacPherson Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. James Randall.
